My parents ended up being so impressed by my home theater system that they asked me about my new Onkyo HT s5300 receiver. I had just purchased this receiver a few weeks ago and so I have still been learning all the different things it can do. My parents were wondering about it though because they noticed me pushing a few buttons while we were watching one of the movies together. I told them I was testing some of the different surround sound fields to see which one sounded the best. I then put the movie on again so that I can show them what I was talking about. I played one of the sections of the movie which had a lot of surround sound activity. I then switched back and forth between one of the Dolby Digital modes and one of the THX settings. They were impressed that they could actually hear a difference between the two settings.
