O Thou most glorious realm of Catan, thank you for showing me that board games don’t have to suck. Thank you for providing me hours of fun with family and friends. Thank you for once again proving that fun can be had without the use of a TV. And lastly, thank you for being a friend.

If you don’t get these tongue-in-cheek references then you’ve never played the amazing board game Settlers of Catan. In 2009, Wired Magazine dubbed this game “The Monopoly Killer” and I couldn’t agree more.  Settlers of Catan will convert

Social media versus Highlander: Can there really only be one?

If you’ve ever watched the movie or TV series, Highlander, you know that it revolves around sword-wielding immortals fighting for global supremacy.  Like many of today’s hottest start-ups, Highlander was originally cooked up in a room room. In fact, Highlander came to life in Gregory Widen’s dorm room while he was still an undergraduate at UCLA. And unbeknownst to the writers, the franchise’s tagline “there can be only one” accurately depicts the social arms race between Google

Facebook Housekeeping | Cleaning up your app

If you’re like most American’s the week between Christmas and New Year’s Eve is bit of a snooze. And if you’re like me you’re going to “waste” countless hours on Facebook, so put down whatever Zynga game is causing you to not shower this week and take a peek at your apps. It’s time to turn your “wasted time” into “productive time.”
